I got fired from my last job.
It's true.

I know you're sitting there thinking, "Jenn, how could anyone in their right mind fire someone as amazing and awesome as you are???" And i'd love to give you a good reason, but the truth is... being This! Awesome! is clearly very scary to other less awesome people.  :)

So I said screw them and started writing my first book. And you know what I realized? Writing books that mean something to me is a million times better than working my ass off for someone who doesn't really care about anything other than the bottom line.

My soul feels more satisfied.
My heart, more full.

So thank you for reading, loving and recommending the stories I write.
I think you're awesome- and not only am I not scared of other awesome people, I want them on my team!

TEASER
I stood in the hush of the darkened room, the long drapes pushed to the side as I leaned with one hand pressed to the wall just at the side of the window. I stared out, watching as winter pressed down on the city. Snowflakes fluttered toward the ground as they were set free from the inky sky. Through the haze, lights glimmered, and far below, the city was still alive even though night had grown late.
My past seemed to echo from the streets, the memories so thick they almost seemed alive.
I looked over my shoulder and let my eyes wander over the one who inhabited them all.
Elizabeth lay facing me, twisted just to the side, her blonde hair spread out over the pillow where she rested her head. Her chest lifted and fell in a slow cadence, her soft breaths released into the air.
The deepest kind of devotion quickened my heart and pumped fiercely through my veins.
Sometimes it was hard to believe we’d come this far, that this beautiful girl lying across the room from me had been strong enough to forgive me for the greatest mistake I’d ever made, that she was good enough to look past my failure, and that she had the capacity to lie there now, lost in sleep, free of fear and full of love.
A wistful smile tugged at my mouth as my gaze traveled over her perfect body. She wore a short nightgown, the creamy material bunched up over her hip, the length of her legs fully exposed. One arm was draped over her head, and the other was stretched across the sheets in the spot where I had held her in my arms as she’d fallen asleep.
Emotion squeezed my lungs, knocked at my ribs, just as strong as the desire that lifted in a crushing swell before it settled as a subdued ache in the pit of my stomach.
Elizabeth would never stop stealing my breath.
Only because she possessed my soul.
As if she felt the intensity of my stare, she stirred. Those brown eyes blinked open as she adjusted to the dimness in the room. A soft, sleepy smile crept to her lips when she found me watching her in the shadows. She ran her hand over the sheets on my side of the bed. “What are you doing way over there when you’re supposed to be in bed with me?” she whispered.
“Just thinking.”
She lifted up onto her elbow. “And what are you thinking about?”
My mouth tipped up in a slow grin as I made my way over to her. She rolled onto her back just as I crawled over her, bracing myself on my hands and knees.
“Thinking about you. What else would I be thinking about?” I trailed the back of my index finger down her cheek and along the underside of her jaw. At her chin, I twisted my hand to drag my fingers all the way down her neck to the cleft between her breasts.
A soft breath parted her lips.
“You consume me, Elizabeth,” I said. “Every second.”
Trembling, she reached up to cup my jaw. “Always.”
That word shot straight through me, her touch a firestorm that singed me from the inside out.
And she had it right. I wanted her. Always.
I pressed my hands into the bed on either side of her head, dipped to caress her mouth with mine in the same second her fingers wove through my hair. I could feel her heart hammering, pounding just as hard as mine, this thrum of need spinning through us with the slightest touch.
It’d always been that way.
Always.
I rocked and Elizabeth moaned, our bodies pitching and lifting and seeking, the soft skin of her inner thighs like strokes of fire as they brushed against mine. Our tongues caressed and every last inch of my body hardened.
God, there was nothing in this world that felt so good.
I pulled back, one hand gripping the fabric at her hip as I searched her face.
“Elizabeth, I don’t want to wait. I know that’s what we planned, but being here, in this city, it just makes me think of all the time I wasted, and I don’t want to waste any more.”
Shock rolled through her, and brown eyes snapped up to lock on mine. “What do you mean?”
“All of it, Elizabeth…waiting to get married…waiting to add to our family. I want it all…and now…because I want it with you.”
“Christian—”
“Don’t say anything now. I just want you to think about it.”
She grabbed my face. “I don’t need to think about it. I’m ready for this. Ready for us to move on.”
Relief and joy escaped me in a throaty groan. It was all I wanted, to spend my life with her, to spend it with our daughter, to live for my family, to watch grow.
“Oh my God, Elizabeth.” I dropped to my elbows, brought us closer, our kiss frenzied between our words.
“Christian.”
“I love you so much…so much.”
I sucked at her bottom lip, kiss her at the edge of her perfect mouth, dropped to feast along the line of her jaw.
My nose got lost behind her ear, in her hair, in the softness of her skin.
I burned.
Elizabeth arched, silently begged.
I rose to one elbow and grabbed her left hand, kissed the ring she allowed me to place on her finger. “Forever,” I promised against it.
Her heart thudded a little more. “Forever,” she said.
And I couldn’t wait for forever to begin.

MY REVIEW

"Love’s a bitch. I had to learn that lesson the hard way in the form of a green eyed, sexy as sin, six foot two sex god ….Jett Mayfield"

CYL picks up from where SYL ends,  Jett is out of all sorts trying to look for Brooke, who went missing after finding out about Jett's betrayal about knowing Brooke as its appointed heiress! Jett seeks the help of his sexy tattooed friend Kenny (he makes an exciting character in this book) to look for Brooke.

Meanwhile in Italy Sylvie being Brooke's best friend drags her to the nearest club since she got bored already with the country life this is where Sylvie meets tattooed guy. Of course Brooke wears insanely sexy dress and hello JETT MAYFIELD!

"Brooke, what the fuck do you think you're wearing?" - Jett

i think the connection between Brooke and Jett didn't go away I mean they are really meant for each other and gosh scenes are insanelyhot and Jett has this thing when he delivers his lines… we are wanting for more of him…. and i want him to be mine! although i had a feeling Sylvie will go for the lawyer but hmmm….. great choice girl! i really want more Kenny scenes! these four are like super cool characters!

“I’m still thinking of you. Even though everything’s messed up, I still want you by my side. I still want to be with you, within you, inside you, hearing you panting my name.”

at the end of the book i want more answers with the Luccazone thing …. Im hoping to unravel its secrets and mysteries and what's gonna happen to it. I'm sure theres another story with all the file stealing thing.

“You’re everything to me,” he whispered in my ear. “You are my love, Brooke. Losing you once was hard. I don’t think I could possibly survive it a second time.”

Now that they are back in the US and Brooke's gonna start a new job and there's the result of the pregnancy thing… I'm sure me and all JC Reed's fans can't wait for the next book… I'm itching my hands on it already :)

4 JETT MAYFIELD STARS :)

ONE TINY LIE by K.A. Tucker

SYNOPSIS

Livie has always been the stable one of the two Cleary sisters, handling her parents' tragic death and Kacey's self-destructive phase with strength and maturity. But underneath that exterior is a little girl hanging onto the last words her father ever spoke to her. “Make me proud,” he had said. She promised she would...and she’s done her best over the past seven years with every choice, with every word, with every action.

Livie walks into Princeton with a solid plan, and she’s dead set on delivering on it: Rock her classes, set herself up for medical school, and meet a good, respectable guy that she’s going to someday marry. What isn’t part of her plan are Jell-O shots, a lovable, party animal roommate she can’t say ‘no’ to, and Ashton, the gorgeous captain of the men’s rowing team. Definitely him. He’s an arrogant ass who makes Livie’s usually non-existent temper flare and everything she doesn’t want in a guy. Worse, he’s best friends and roommates with Connor, who happens to fits Livie’s criteria perfectly. So why does she keep thinking about Ashton?

As Livie finds herself facing mediocre grades, career aspirations she no longer thinks she can handle, and feelings for Ashton that she shouldn’t have, she’s forced to let go of her last promise to her father and, with it, the only identity that she knows.

MY REVIEW

" Dr. Stayner once suggested that all people face a day in their life that defines who they are, that shapes who they will become, that sets them on their path. He said that one day will either guide or haunt them until they take their last breath. "

Oh my Tiny EPIC! this one is a sure epic read! i kinda expected this because i love TTB solo much and OTL didn't disappoint

KA Tucker! your such a genius! but let me say that Dr Stayner actually made me cry i mean gosh he should be the nation's therapist what a good hearted person he is someone who "cares" for his patients! he is the silent hero of this series! still crying over this book!

I like Connor … i felt heartbroken for him but well…. i hope he gets his own book and maybe Dr Stayner can find a match for him! lol

Ashton… OH MY GOSH!!! hot hot hot ….. i kinda forgot about Trent but hmmmm at the book's epilogue i thought about Trent again… il pay $500 for him even its for 2 hours!

Livvie i love her when i read TTB she is really every sister wants! and I'm glad she has her "family" …. i think she can be called Angel instead of Irish. but Irish is perfect for her too!

5 fucking Ashton the Captain EPIC Livvie stars for this book :)

Entwined With You by Sylvia Day

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts, and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires…

From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside–so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.

No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession…

My Review :

i think the story is too short and I'm really waiting for something explosive scene to happen after we found our what Gideon did to Nathan but hmmmm nothing… although the sex scenes are soooo hoooot and too many! i mean there's not soooo much talking between Gideon & Eva in this book. every time they are together they just do the deed… i mean i get the whole reconnecting thing but nah i got bored with Corrinne story and whats up with Megumi? so i think we just need to read the 4th book to find out the ff:

  • is Cary really the baby daddy of Tat? how will Trey deal with this?
  • megumi's diabolical sickness
  • Eva & Cary's visit to San Diego
  • Nathan's bracelet
  • NY's wedding of the Year
  • BRETT … just brett
  • will Stanton gonna find out what happen to Monica and Victor?

thats just some few I'm waiting for to be answered

i will stil give this a 4 stars since i enjoyed Gideon sooooo much

Tangled by Emma Chase

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.
