Evie and Leo met in foster care as children and formed a bond of friendship. As they grew, their bond turned to love and they vowed to make a life together when they turned 18 and were no longer a part of the system.
When Leo unexpectedly gets adopted as a teen and he moves to another city, he promises Evie that he will contact her as soon as he gets there and come back for her in a few short years. She never hears from him again.
Now eight years later, in spite of the odds, Evie has made a life for herself. She has a job, she has friends, she's content. Then a man shows up out of the blue, claiming that her long lost love, Leo, sent him to check up on her. The attraction between them is undeniable. But, should she trust this sexy stranger? who doesn't want fairy tales and happy ever afters right? i always look forward to this kind of ending although i expect my heart to be broken first and enjoy the story before i got to the ending.
i regret not reading this when i got this book…. because I FREAKING LOVE LEO!!!! and EVIE :) i mean i kinda expect in the beginning that Jake has this explosive secret join on but……WOW…. i just love the story's pacing and how i freaking love evie's politeness and good heart and yeap I'm very jealous she got a a gay best friend and a married woman best friend and they are very much loveable characters!
Jake, gosh i love this guy! my heart breaks for him….i want justice with what happened to him….i really want his foster monster mom aka Lauren to be in jail…. good thing her husband left the company to Jake its not enough for what she did to Jake when he was younger….
i want more from Leo & Evie :) big 5 fantastic stars for this book!!!!
