BOOK REVIEW : DROWNING TO BREATHE by A.L. Jackson

The danger in pretending is it becoming real…

Sebastian Stone, Sunder front man and guitarist with a rap sheet about ten miles long, escaped to Savannah, Georgia, to get away from the trouble he’d caused.
 Not find more of it.
The moment he saw Shea Bentley, he saw beneath all her sweet and innocence to something that went deeper.
Darker.
Their relationship was built on secrets; their love built on lies.
Sebastian never imagined how deep her secrets went.
When the past and present collide, Sebastian and Shea find themselves fighting for a future neither believed they deserved. Their passion is consuming and their need unending.
Now, holding the truth in his hands, Sebastian is faced with sacrificing everything he’s come to love to protect Shea and his family.
Two pasts intertwined.
Two lives bound.
Will their demons drown them or will Shea and Sebastian finally learn to breathe

The book starts exactly where A Stone in the Sea ends. I have to read the last chapter in order to feel the emotions Shea and Sebastian during that time Martin took Kallie with him, with the rain pouring it sets the best scene of this book.

With Kallie gone and Sebastian's finding out that he is truly no idea who Shea is and he felt betrayed and lied to he took off leaving Shea crumbling and helpless. These two characters are dealing with a lot of emotional baggage from their past and it is hard for them to truly be trusting and opening up themselves. Amy wrote her words with that level of professionalism as an author and making us feel emotions with so much class. You are probably wondering what the heck im talking about. You see, i support up and coming authors and I get to read books by first time writers. I am a huge fan of them and i really admire the courage and effort they put up. But you see, different authors have different styles of writing and im trying to say is that Amy is just one of the legit ones. Her words are deep and raw and it makes you stop reading and you feel you need to exhale and take it all in.

This book is one of my much anticipated one, Shea and Sebastian's story is too good to be in just one book. I just love they way Sunders members look out for each other and the conversations are hilarious and just natural. I also love the redemption of Shea's mom, she became a heroine some sort in this book. and i just love that no matter how rude or mean a person can be love can really make a difference.

Sebastian became the hottest rocker dad for me, his love for Shea and Kallie is something im in awe. He really took the high road and show so much maturity and leadership in this book. He may be a hot headed one but i think it is his nature to become protective of his family.

Amy created a bunch of book worthy characters that I am dying to know their stories.... and il be on stalking mode again for the next release of her works!
I rate this book 4.5 (5 star for Sebastian's monkey tat)!!!!
